Nursery
Little Lambs Nursery: We welcome our littlest ones, ages birth to 2 to the nursery at NRPC off the foyer of the Faith Ministries Building. Our nursery is staffed by two paid caregivers, as well as a church member volunteer. We look forward to extending Christian love to God’s most precious gifts. The nursery is available during Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. and Worship at 10:30 a.m.
Bible Adventure Sunday School
Early Preschool Class: Our early preschool class is offered for children who have turned 3 by September 1. Our 3-year-old class offers a place where children are loved and nurtured in an important time of beginning to build our foundation of faith. Rock Solid: Building a Heart of Faith is more than just a Sunday school curriculum for children. Research shows that a child’s faith is developed through interacting with adults of faith. Faith cannot be taught — it must be caught! Rock Solid sessions are built on a firm foundation with a comprehensive journey through the Bible with story-based experiences rather than verse-based lessons. By learning the key Bible stories, children will be better able to understand and remember the Bible’s message.
(Faith Ministries Building 9:15 a.m.)
PreK – 5th Grade Rotational Sunday School: Our older preschool – elementary children will be engaged in a Bible Adventure that leads them through the stories of the Bible by exposing them to four different workshops each month to explore the people, places, and messages of our faith in meaningful, exciting ways. During our first 20 minutes children will be greeted with "Joyful Noise Music" or "Antioch Arcade Games" to welcome them into our learning family. Children are placed in age-level groups of PreK-K, Grades 1-2, and Grades 3-5 to travel through workshops each week.

Apostles’ Playhouse (drama), Holywood (media), Creation Station (art), Praising Puppets (puppets)
Children's Church
Worship for Little Ones: Our Children’s Church program is available to preschool – 2nd Grade Children during worship each Sunday, except Communion Sunday. Children are invited to join the worship leader on the front steps for the Sharing the Faith with Our Children and then will leave the sanctuary to continue to worship together in the Faith Ministries Building with our Children’s Church leaders. During Children’s Church, we don’t just talk about worship; we worship! Children participate in liturgical call and response using the symbols of our faith, sing, hear the lectionary Scripture through drama or storytelling, pray together, and explore and interact with the message. When weather permits, children will dismiss to the playground where parents can pick them up at 11:30.
(Faith Ministries Building 10:45 a.m.)
We are the Body - Communion Sunday All Family Worship: During the first Sunday of the month we welcome all of God’s children from our youngest to our most mature members to celebrate our community of faith in worship and around the table. The worship service this day will provide real opportunities for all age groups to continue to encounter God. All baptized Christians are invited to participate in communion in the Presbyterian Church (USA). We wish to support our families of young children who are beginning to have important conversations about God’s amazing grace through Jesus Christ and our invitation to remember and celebrate that grace through the sacrament of communion. On Communion Sunday, there will be no Children’s Church. We look forward to beginning All Family Worship on World Communion Sunday, October 3.
*There will be a Sacraments Workshop for families of young children (parents and children age 3-8) on September 26 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Faith Ministries Building and sanctuary. Please bring a picnic/brown bag lunch for your family. This workshop will be taught by Pastor Ted Churn, and Janet Stark, Director of Christian Education.

Kids' Club Fellowship
Kids' Club: A fellowship group for 3rd – 5th graders! We will kick off this year with our first meeting during church on September 12! This program provides an opportunity to create their own community within NRPC. Our children attend many different schools on different schedules, so this club blesses them with the gift of time together. It is a time to forge friendships, to continue Christian learning, to reach out and serve, and to enjoy the fellowship of their peer group within the safe environment of our church. We usually meet during the second half of worship on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month. We try to plan a social outing or service project after worship on the 3rd Sunday each month.
